This is an excellent private club with a membership that fully utilizes the course. Despite getting a lot of play, the course is well maintained and pace of play is seldom a problem. Fairways are tree lined and sometimes very tight. Water and sand come into play on many holes. The finishing three holes play "around the lake" and are probably the best finishing holes in the state. In years past, its location made bent grass greens a chore to maintain in the hot, humid summer months. In Fall, 2009, the course switched to Champions Bermuda and I expect them to be outstanding. The staff is excellent. One caveat- Avoid for a period of 3-4 weeks in the autumn when the leaves fall. Until they are fully gathered, conditions are difficult during this period.
